Irondale United Methodist Youth and Compassion International

At this year's Behold weekend several of the youth of the church were moved to reach out to children in need. While at the weekend they selected two children to sponsor through Compassion International

Carolyne Ominachi

Carolyne is a 16 year old girl from Kenya. She lives with her mother. Her duties at home include carrying water, gardening, and cleaning. Her mother is sometimes employed as a farmer.

Jumping rope and playing ball games are Carolyne's favorite activities. In primary school her performance is below average. She also regularly attends Sunday school.

Syline Jacques

Syline is a 5 year old boy from Haiti. In his home, Syline helps by carrying water, gathering firewood and caring for animals. He lives with his father and his mother. His parents are sometimes employed as farmers.

As a part of Compassion's ministry, Syline participates in Sunday school, Bible class, and camp. He is also in pre-school where his performance is above average.
