Bro. Ed Sims
Brother Ed Sims has a heart for Mission
and Hospitality. A gifted Bible-based
preacher and teacher, Brother Ed received
a PhD in Experimental Psychology with
emphasis in instructional design from the
University of Alabama. After working as a
management consultant with business and
government, he answered God's call,
attended Candler School of Theology, and
is now in his 15th year of full-time
ministry in the United Methodist Church.
Brother Ed's wife, Amelia, is also a
full-time United Methodist minister
serving as the Associate Pastor at
Trussville United Methodist Church. Prior
to their arrival here, Brother Ed and
Amelia worked as a team to merge the
Crumly Chapel and Forestdale
congregations. They have one son, Thomas,
a preschooler who loves to meet folks.
